From Division # 10
Greetings from the land of Aloha. The photo below (Marshall Ritchey (L) and James Raynor) was taken at a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific during Veterans Day, 2010. A similar ceremony, at Punchbowl, is also conducted at the Memorial Day Activities, also with a Wreath Presentation. In addition, during the afternoon of the same day, and for each event, hosted by the Governor of Hawaii, a Parade of Flags with Floral Lei ceremony is conducted at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery located at Kaneohe, here on Oahu.
We`re (H11) proud to have four WWII Veterans, with a sprinkle of Korean/Vietnam Vets, and the rest, Vietnam era Vets. No Gulf War Vets yet! Maybe these young ones are ashamed to join us old farts!!! Only Kidding. With Aloha – Hank Pascua
