The Rama Zone

My name is Specialist Rama N Toulon deployed to East Afghanistan and I am a member of the Combat Infantrymen’s Association.
My Unit: Company B, 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, 4th BCT 10th Mountain Division based in Ft. Polk, is now deployed to East Afghanistan. The following pictures are of everyday life in the “Stan”.

Now for the countyside:

Here is a picture of a fair skinned child of Afghanistan. A girl in black. For her the future is very uncertain. But everyday we fight to make sure they at least get a chance. Because everyone deserves to have a chance to forge their own destiny and not be dictated by the whims and fates of tyranny.

The flags are to honor the Taliban who are killed by us. They are hailed as martyrs. I suppose everyone has a short memory of the oppression and tyranny they brought to the land after the Soviets high tailed it in the ’80s.

One of the villages we came to deliver School supplies to. Imagine a world where a young girl tries to get education and she could get killed for that.
